This thread really needs some pictures showing the decks and the cards, especially the effect of the UV spot printing under ultraviolet light, and the holographic foil. Here's a write-up I put together about this project, along with plenty of images.

I don't know how they do it, but TCC Playing Cards continues to come up with innovative ideas for affordable yet dazzling decks of custom playing cards. As a brand, they focus on producing playing cards that are affordable, but without compromising quality, and that at the same time push the boundaries of what technology makes possible. As such, a lot of the playing cards they have produced in recent times are unlike what we've ever seen before, often by combining eye-catching holographic foil with other features that simply weren't an option to creators of yesteryear.
Their newest project,
Zodiac Luminous Edition Playing Cards is no exception. Part of the concept is something that experienced playing card collectors have seen before: a set of custom playing cards where each of 12 decks corresponds to a different sign of the Zodiac. I'm not personally big into astrology, but I can appreciate beauty when I see it, so that concept alone gets my interest. As an example, shown here and above is the Capricorn deck.
But what makes these decks different is the use of spot printing with UV-reactive ink. They call it "UV fluorescence technology", and what this means is that when viewed under ultraviolet light, you get to see an entirely different picture. In this case, it's a star pattern. Brilliant! It's something so intuitive and obvious, and is the perfect way to take advantage of UV spot printing in a meaningful and functional way.
But of course there's more: the tuck box and cards also include other special features such as embossing, holographic foil, cold foil, and optional gilded edges for the limited edition versions of each deck. And each tuck box in the set has its own colour scheme and artwork.
Besides the 12 decks that make up this set, there's also a separate Astrology Chart deck, with its own unique artwork and features - including the same UV spot printing which showcases star patterns when viewed under ultraviolet light.
And for collectors, there's a Wooden Box Collector's Edition, which is luxuriously packaged with a large metal plaque, and comes with a full set of all 12 decks in their luxurious gilded versions, each with matching numbered gold-foil seals, plus a gilded version of the Astrology Chart deck.
One thing is clear: TCC is becoming increasingly prolific, and clearly they've hit on a winning formula. And they know us playing card collectors just a little too well, because they've figured out the kinds of things we really love!

These decks are best appreciated in person, rather than static photos. The animated gifs above will give you some idea of how these tuck boxes and playing cards look when they catch the light, and the pictures below supplement that with some additional images.
Individual Zodiac Decks
Shown here is the Capricorn deck, and this will also give you an idea of what to expect from the other decks.
Brick of Zodiac Decks
Each Zodiac deck has an exclusive themed tuck box in a different colour scheme, and there is a pledge option to get the entire set.
