The Magician's Last Secret by AntiFaro/Roomone

Another puzzle deck project from anti-faro

Im not entirely sold on keeping all 4 decks (my quick scan says they are basically all the same except differing in coloration one that is a modified standard deck) , certainly getting the foiled one.

These look great! While I am not a backer, I still think these look really cool. I may have considered it if not for the following deck I had backed very early into my collecting:

Oof $27 for a cold foil deck is a bit steep.

I like yours better kev especially as I do not need a puzzle on the faces of my cards - there is the Diamond edn but its courts seem out of whack with the theme. I would love the Spades edn back if it wasn't marked (I don't need another marked deck)

Comparing "The Magicians Deck" by Biz VS "The Magician's Last Secret" by Anti-Faro X Room One

While both have similarity in concept, how it's done is different. For the number cards, the former have actual magicians there with the magic props while the latter ONLY shows the magic props. I think the puzzle still is the pulling point for this deck

Here's a write-up I put together about this project, along with more images.

Kickstarter: The Magician's Last Secret Playing Cards

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/an ... ying-cards

A deck of custom playing cards and a built-in puzzle

Cost: ~US$15 per individual deck, and ~$66 collector's set
Funding level: fully funded
Project ends: Thursday, 21 August 2025

This is a deck of playing cards with a real difference. This is the challenge: A hidden puzzle lies within the deck…Can you uncover the Magician’s Last Secret?

There are four different versions of this deck: Spades Edition, Hearts Edition, Clubs Edition, and Diamonds Edition.

The Spades Edition is the highlight, with a "card swap" tuckbox that lets you move the magician's hand and the playing card he's holding instantly and visibly changes. No sleight of hand is required - the tuckbox does all the magic for you. For the best in good looks, not only do the cards in this edition have foil backs, but also foil on the faces.

The Hearts Edition is a colour version with custom artwork.

The Clubs Edition is a black-and-white version with custom artwork.

The Diamond Edition has standard faces, so it most suited for card magic.

There's a larger story behind these decks, which are a tribute to the famous Golden Age of Magic (1880-1920), an era in which magic was a great spectacle, and included legends like Harry Houdini.

But there's also a story and a puzzle hidden inside these decks. Here's the back story: "The greatest secret of an old, forgotten and once renowned Magician is about to see the light of day. Fragment of his last message are scattered across the cards, together they contain the magician's greatest secret." People who own the Clubs, Hearts, and Spades editions can reconstruct a magician's letter, and can then take on the challenge of putting the clues together to uncover the magician's greatest secret. Successful puzzlers are eligible for a prize from the creator.

The court cards of the Spades, Hearts, and Clubs Edition decks are inspired by retro magic show posters, and are a homage to famous magicians of yesteryear and their acts. Each court card also contains a hidden secret to discover, even with the Diamonds edition. The number cards are also fully customized. The card backs all draw on the vintage theme, and as you might expect in a custom deck about magic, they have secret markings that reveal the identity of their faces.

Special options are available such as a collector's set, collector's coin and stickers, and uncut sheets.
