resale value or potential increase in aftermarket price is NEVER a factor for me in buying a deck.

I'd say it's rather common to collect for the sake of collecting but I'd also say a good chunck of collectors, while not interested in reselling are unconsciously or consciously effected a lot by value.
Otherwise I wouldn't quite regularly stumble across these *insert sound of my spitting on the floor*-collectors who complain in instagram comment sections on posts of creators announcing a reprint.

AoP, TXI and others either are fully aware that people jump to conclusions like below, or they're straight up so used to their sly and shady marketing speak that they indeed don't get what they're doing.

I'd call TXI to get a replacement. Glad I passed on these despite liking the deck.

Well... then give them a call. I'd still take a dump on TXI in an email. Like, if you charge $20 instead of your usual $9.95 them maybe, make the tuck less flimsy and use a sturdier paper stock, instead of giving them figuratively the BBC. Like 20g/sqm higher can make a difference of day'n night.

I had exactly the same thoughts when I saw the pictures.

And that giant white sticker with the bar code on the cellophane is going to make collectors who keep their decks in shrink real happy ... NOT.

Thanks for taking and sharing these pictures though; gives a good idea of what the deck actually looks like all round.
