Not VXD tech as they are only using Holographic foil. The deck looks good due to that...

Is it just me or is the foil effect only on that case and not the cards?

I mean, it's definitely not bad, but it's not that good either.

If they would consider an embossed tuck, they may be onto something here.

You're right...seems like the holo foil is only on the tuck and not on the cards.

Had a heads-up from one of our backers yesterday on this.

We had a look at it (and a read of the description) and it appears they are stamping transparent holographics onto the tuck box cover only. Our patent does not cover the tuck box / any container (that could certainly not be protected anyway, for multiple reasons)....it covers the fronts and backs of playing cards themselves.

Not too concerned at this stage, but we'll keep an eye on it of course.

Thanks

Amazing. They've somehow managed to combine all the annoyances of diptych jokers and repeating courts without technically using either.

Somebody award these guys a patent for that. With any luck they'll keep this powerful trade secret safely in company hands, exclusively for their own use.

These aren't outright bad. They're in the purgatory between bad and good. An endless horizon of mediocrity...

I like good diptych jokers, but i see what Merlebird means with the statement and agree 100%. I mean, they didn't design court cards or aces at all! I don't remember when you were that forgiving to designers the last time!?

Despite the objective fact that they didn't really design court cards or aces, I despise the artwork personally.
I'm not a big fan of this tribal like art in general, unless it is something really ethnic like e.g. moko or if they had done the courts in the art style like their inspiration mentioned in the kickstarter; Image then I would be fine with the deck.

So, am I really the first to point out that not only are these one way cards, they're not even the same direction? The indices are in four opposite corners, and only the one corner, and drawn such that there is no coherent way to hold these cards. Nevermind the fact that the KoH outside of the all-your-powers-combined art piece is just a bird's ass in the corner of the card.
