Jackson, I too would like a little more clarification on this release.

From what I've seen on Facebook / Instagram there appears to be 3 editions: Black/White Tuck, Gold/Black (Signed) Tuck & an All Black tuck.

As a subscriber of both the limited & standard edition am I right in thinking I will receive 2 decks - All Black Tuck & Gold/Black (Signed) Tuck?

Are these both the UNsolved editions?
Is the Collector's box included?
Is the Black/White tuck shown in the collector's box the solved EPCC deck?

No problem, here is some clarification.

There are three different editions of the Labyrinth Deck.

There are 2 UNSOLVED Editions, that DO NOT have the red lined solutions on the court cards.

The Black on Black Edition is the Edition that Subscribers will get as their February Kings Wild Shorts Subscription deck. The Black on Black version is ONLY available as part of the KWShorts Subscription, and will not be available elsewhere or to the general public.

Both of the UNSOLVED Editions were printed by The United States Playing Card Company.

The Black on White Edition is the Standard Edition of the UNSOLVED version and is the deck the Kings Wild Shorts Subscribers will receive with their Standard Edition Subscriptions to the KWshorts. The Standard UNSOLVED Editions will be available for purchase to subscribers only for the month of February and any leftover stock will be made available to the general public on March 1st.

The Black on Pearl Grey SOLVED Edition is a version of the deck that has the Red Line solutions of the mazes printed onto the court cards. The SOLVED Edition was printed by the Expert Playing Card Company.

There will be 250 Individual SOLVED Editions available on the Members only page of the Kings Wild Project website. I actually put them up today. They are a preorder item and they will be shipped with your February Subscription if you have one. They Solved Edition is only available to Subscribers until March 1st.

Nice. I picked up a brick of each...naw, just one each. Note, if combined with Shorts decks, should the shipping be a bit less?

Yes, you should see a few dollars refunded from your order. The amount was arbitrary so please don't try to calculate it. ;)

Did anybody else order the solution edition and get the unsolved version instead? I'm hoping it was just me... :?

Just sent Jackson an e-mail through the contact form on his website but I'm posting here too on the off chance he sees it here first.

Was there a separate listing available for a two-deck (unboxed) set of the solved and unsolved versions? I bought just the solved version (in addition to my subscription).

I'm hoping it's a human error involving data entry on my order specifically and that nobody else is affected, but I don't know how he transmits orders from storefront to shipping fulfillment. If it's a systemic issue involving the way all single-deck orders of the solved edition listing were processed... hoo boy. :?

The optional two boxed set comes with both the solved and the unsolved decks. I don't think you had to buy the boxed set, but why not? Why not?

Anyway, subscribers can still purchase the two boxed set and the solved deck at Kings Wild Project's website. $54 for the boxed set and $20 for the solved deck, plus tax and shipping.

I got my limited and standard decks today :D I'm loving these embossed tucks for each month! Personally I can't decide whether I like the placement of the limited deck number on the bottom of the tuck - the all-black tuck is rather striking and I can see it taking away from that. Still wish it had a seal though :ugthink: Very excited for Equinox II also!
Merlebird wrote:I don't know how he transmits orders from storefront to shipping fulfillment.
I'm 90% sure he does his own fulfillment now. Seems like an easy mix-up, the decks look very similar to me on the website.

I see you ;), although I haven't seen an email come through from my contact form yet. (Grant it everyones name is different than their online usernames so it''s hard to tell who I'm talking to and connecting people with email and the UC)

I do all of my own fulfillment and we most likely just made a mistake. Send me an email directly to jackson@kingswildproject.com and let me know what you're are missing and we will get you the correct deck out tomorrow. Thanks for your patience.

No worries, Jackson. I actually got an e-mail from Nick Shock a little after 8:15pm EST so he may have claimed the ticket before it got passed through to you; not sure how you've got that set up. I sent him a couple pictures and let him know he can get back to me if he needs any other information, but if you want me to forward that e-mail to you too I can. No rush on the replacement deck; I want to get what I ordered eventually, obviously, but the sense of urgency was only because I was worried the listing itself might be linked to the wrong SKU on the backend. If it's just human error in data entry or shipment picking then no real harm done; these things happen.
hsbc wrote:Seems like an easy mix-up, the decks look very similar to me on the website.
Not gonna lie, I rechecked my order confirmation like three times before I sent the ticket in because I thought I messed it up. With the only external distinction between the two versions being the red number sticker on the bottom of the solution edition, I can definitely see how you could mix them up, especially if you're not checking SKUs as you pick orders.

Anyway, sorry all for the hair-on-fire routine. In my line of work one misshipment can turn into months of international conference calls about "countermeasures" and "improvement plans" so I get a little bit panicky at the thought of them.

Don't mean any offense, but is your tuck case numbered with a red bottom? Did you open the deck? I ask because they solved doesn't look any different than unsolved except the red numbered bottom and the inside cards obviously.

The Standard UnSolved and Solved editions are similar but the tuck case is made of very different papers. The UnSolved is a flat matte white Paper and the Solved is a pearlescent white paper. It is a subtle difference but one that is easily seen once you see it. The similarity IS, however, one of the reasons for the red bottom numbered sticker.

None taken. No, there is no red sticker on the bottom of the tuck and yes, I did open the deck. Good thing I did, too; I'd forgotten the solved edition was numbered, and if I hadn't seen the unsolved courts I would probably not have figured out it wasn't the version I ordered until much later, if ever.
