Was this a Deck or just a Trick?

And there you won't see any deck pictured but you will see Rick is quoted as saying:

So now, this trick lives in my wallet. It’s perfect for all the times I don’t want to carry a whole deck of cards with me.

In an ebay ad for 'the deck' where I got the following pics, I have also read:

This trick is designed on Maiden back cards

So it's a 26 card deck used for a trick.

But the quotes still don't make sense
eg.
"For when I don't want to carry a whole deck of cards with me" What is the big diff if you're still carrying around half a deck/26 cards
"This trick lives in my wallet" 26 cards in your wallet?! (or do you really only need 1 card?)
Are they only Maiden Back cards? ('This trick is designed on maiden back cards')

Don't think of it as a deck of cards. The trick doesn't require a whole deck of cards nor real cards. You're buying the explanation plus a bunch of trick cards.
