Collection Size - How do you count yours?

I'm curious how most folks count the size of their collections. I don't think there's a right way and I don't think there's a wrong way. I think it's more than likely just the way any particular individual chooses to do it. This is what I figure most people may do.
X - Folks who count the overall total number of decks.
Y - Folks that count only one copy of each unique deck they have.
Z - Folks opt to count based on how much space it fills.
How do you count your collection?
I'm
Z type of counter because I don't know X and I don't pay any attention to Y.

Y and I exclude standard decks that I use regularly.

Y for sure. I'll try to transition to X though since I'm afraid of becoming a Z.

Same here. I only count sealed decks that I really have no intention of opening, and almost without exception I have at least two of everything fitting that description. I decided to stop kidding myself about “saving the good decks for later, when I’m actually competent at this”... the decks I use on the daily are perfectly fine and the collector type decks are just that... collector decks.

I go for Option Z, or more specifically Gross Register Tonnage (GRT)

I made a spreadsheet with all my decks, could count the individual decks (with dupes) if I add up the quantity column. Or I can see the number of rows for unique decks! I prefer to count the total amount of decks even if I got a few of each.

How do I count my decks? I don't.
Due to a mix between laziness/not caring enough about the answer to bother, and not having to lie to my partner about the actual number

I kept track of what I collected from day one and, with some PHP wizardry, I can be X or Y depending on who's asking.

I do a little of "all of the above," though mainly Z, which I refer to as "holistic estimation."
I have 30 bins full of cards. They hold between 45-55 cards each, depending if it has Legacy decks, mini decks, carat cases, etc. I keep all my unique decks together, organized by studio, brand, and/or designer. The duplicates get stuck in the other bins. So, I have a general idea of how many unique decks, and how many duplicate decks.

I do Y as I have a spreadsheet of all the decks I own. It also helps that I do the same at Portfolio52 as well.

I strictly don't have duplicates, I have zero use for duplicates and somebody else could be enjoying it instead, so it's pretty easy for me simply ctrl+a to select all in the folder where I keep two images (one tuck, one cards) for each deck I currently own and divide the resulting number by two.

I keep an excel log of what decks I have and how many of each I have and which box the decks are stored in. So X and Y for me.

I've been slowly filling in my spreadsheet recently. Trying to get enough info in so I can make a plot of money spent vs. time. I'm definitely an X, but I also generally only collect one of each deck. Too expensive otherwise. If I want another to open, then I'll buy another, but that isn't very many. I really don't understand why some people have sooooooo many duplicates of decks they won't open. The only reason I have 11 Eva decks is because I backed the Monster Box tier on Kickstarter to get a lot of other TWI decks I was missing (that's how I got my Suprema after all). I would sell the extras in a heartbeat (just haven't gotten around to it yet).
