While I like the E7 stock as an option, I still preferred the handling and feel of the B9 deck and finish. I guess I like the more substantial feel of the B9 stock. I really felt with all of the stock and finish options Cartamundi was offering, and their cold foil options, they were pulling ahead of USPCC in printing quality. No way.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
While I could see like 20-30 yrs from now, the B9 Copag would be as valuable as the USPCC Blue seal, I rather think the 9C^2 would become the real Cartamundi "JN" collectable. There's so few decks that uses that finish, and it's officially history now.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
I look forward to getting these. For me, this was by far the most engaging, fun and interactive campaign of the year.
Most campaigns I pretty much pledge and that is the last I see of it until the cards arrive, except the updates. Many of those I don't read either.
This campaign I was reading and keeping up with it until the day the campaign ended and even after.

I feel like Omar collaborated with UC almost as much as Lorenzo to get this done. It makes me feel like I was a part of this - even though I wasn't.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
It is interesting, I'm guess I'm one of the few that just doesn't find this deck that interesting. I'll probably pick up some later but there was not enough in the KS for me to consider it as something to back with close to standard courts and pips. Only thing I really would have liked is the spade card guard but maybe Lorenzo will have some for sale after market.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
It's meant to be a standard-type deck. It's up there with Theory 11's Monarchs in that sense (to me).Strag wrote:It is interesting, I'm guess I'm one of the few that just doesn't find this deck that interesting. The EB brick came out to about $11 per deck. You've got dingii asking for $15-20 on much worse decks all the time. That's where this campaign succeeds immensely; a standard-style deck designed by Lorenzo for a fantastic price.

Yup I get what it is, just doesn’t appeal to me. I also rarely buy bricks and International shipping is such a killer that I do have to be somewhat picky. Lovely tuck though.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
Strag, I do get your comments. I would have loved to see a fully custom Lorenzo-TGW collaboration. However, that wasn't likely this time. I think you might be really pleased with what TGW comes up with next time. I don't know what is planned, but i am hoping for a fully custom deck.
I am fine with the deck as designed. It does have some custom touches throughout the deck. Besides, I am a sucker for Stockholm17, so I was "in" before it got started. The touches that have been done are brilliant in my opinion.
On the big plus side is all you get for the money. This campaign really delivered great value. I can't want to get my goodies.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
I get it too. I wish this deck did not have the standardish courts. That being said, the tuck and back designs are excellent and I was happy to support TGW and Lorenzo. Their participation here and on the campaign was top notch for this, if not the best I have ever seen in my time collecting.
I also got a brick. My first brick ever. A great price and because it is basically only 4 sets of 3 decks. One to open. One as a gift for my son. Perhaps one to keep sealed and one for for future trade.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
The Cardomancer decks are on sale on Stockholm's website for $24. If it is a bit high, just become a Patreon backer for 2020, and you should get a 20% of store discount at Stockholm17.
Need a brick, well that will cost a bit now. If so, I would definitely consider being a Patreon backer. Speaking of which, our 2019 care package has shipped.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
I think it was $130 for a mixed brick in that sweet custom brick box, which included four gilded decks. Plus a guaranteed ability to get a limited Dynastinae deck, plus the free coin, mini deck and lots of other stuff. It was a really good deal. I think I remember reading that they made 500 brick sets, which is insane. This was a no-brainer brick box.
I have to laugh. On my previous post, I thought I was looking at the Cartomancer deck. All that blinding foil fooled me.
Speaking of gold, has anyone heard anything on the next three decks for The Standards?
