If anyone missed Obsessions, late pledges are still available on the main campaign page > https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/th ... ying-cards

Thank you!
Did all the Fiamma bundles sell out? Were patrons able to buy those decks or just kickstarter backers?

Days of getting a "free" deck are over? You can either swap 2 of the the decks in your box for the Gold version or go without? Maybe he will allow swapping only 1 deck. In either case I don't consider this anything that special considering his prices but the free pin and option of a 3rd variant probably provides relief for some.

I cant recall there ever being a "free" deck in any of the TWI campaigns Ive backed. Usually there is a mystery deck included in the box sets that is the overrun print of another edition in a different tuck, but it was always one of the "things I might include" in the original rewards list nothing something added on top of the rewards.

If you show me a random Queen from any Thirdway deck, I honestly don't think I can identify which deck it came from because they're all looking the same to me. Now if you show me a random Queen from any Uusi deck, I can absolutely identify which deck it's from because they're so unique and easily distinguishable from each other. I think that's why I haven't bought a Thirdway deck in a while, I'm satisfied with the few that I have because they're pretty representative of any new deck that comes out.

All extra items unlocked... look at how he's phrased these promotions. "If you have a box you will already receive one free but can buy more if you want". Let me find you an example... he seems to think he was offering free decks although i agree with you that it's not really free.

How many decks has Ussi released in comparison and that may have a lot to do with why it's easy to identify the queens.

Yep, pretty much the same for me. A few decks stand out as something a bit different but overall there is a sameness that makes it easy to let them pass by. Coupled with the fact that every series has tons of different variants, the overall pricing schema and the fact that I can never get the various names to make sense in my head, I just haven't bought a Gio deck in quite a while. I'll just have to survive with the 196 decks of his I currently have

There are probably numerous others that feel this way. Obsession courts being a good example of repetitive design. If I'm not mistaken, it appears he has lost 20 patrons in the last couple months so that could be an indicator of where things are headed if things don't change.

Gio can be a bit heavier on the marketing and commercial aspect than most but he is unique and though you may have seen them often by now, or not have them to your taste, he has made quite a few top decks in my book and on my shelf.

He has already made enough contribution to collecting to not have to carry the flag around - and I am not going to tell him how to make a living or cards. I simply await the next deck he does that is different enough, and special enough, to attract me - and I’m pretty sure he will manage it - frankly I’m not sure how I passed on that last mini deck and I will probably acquire it now that its on my mind… damn it…. have to make room around here for another mini deck - perhaps if I move the bed into the backyard…

I have an appreciation for his design style and own many decks of his. I want for him to keep making decks because I see some of them as top tier. Nobody is perfect or except from criticism. I am a rough critic but I do not condemn good, honest people or wish them ill. The egos can rest their flags. May everyone sleep well, wherever that may be.
