Postage ruins it for Internationals but for you guys

An unusual choice of adjective for T11's email

Perhaps they were thinking of exquisite when they wrote this

...or we are mistaken and it was intensely painful for them.

I have seen the phrase "excruciating detail" before, but not recently. Along similar lines, I have noticed that people (or at least, the people I regularly encounter) have strayed away from describing someone who values strict attention to detail as "anal-retentive". Perhaps we are moving away from the idea that people who seem diligent to a fault are pains in the asses.

As someone who prides myself on attention to detail, I am in favor of removing the negative connotation.

Anal-retentive also feels very Freudian and people have been gravitating further and further away from Freud as time passes.

So WE are the ones who experience pain from T11's detail...

Pain is subjective and temporary. Painstakingly detailed or Painstaking detail sounds more commonly used imo

The review mistakenly says the new tucks do not have USPC on them but the side does say U.S PLAYING CARD CO.
Strangely the auction pictures don't show the numbers of these decks which are very clear in the review deck

The Most Curious Deck in My Collection

Fellow seekers of the extraordinary,

Today I’m sharing something that defies logic, style… and maybe even good sense.
Behold: my Peanuts Playing Card Deck.

It smells exactly like school glue.
It looks suspiciously like it was fashioned from someone’s forgotten pair of novelty underwear.
And yet...
Snoopy himself is in his own aloof glory on the Jokers, reminding me that whimsy is its own kind of magic.

This deck might not be rare but it’s unforgettable and every time I see it, I’m reminded that collecting isn’t just about value; it’s about stories, smiles, and a little bit of absurd wonder.

So far I've seen some good ones but what are more of the oddest, most delightfully strange decks in your collections?

Not me. But I nearly purchased a wall clock that had a ball that would move around a round clock that was levitated in a magnetic lock that was way cool. They were $350+.

Hey G, was that pocket watch Not that old. I found the minutes counting to 60 interesting as you could say it was made for telling the time digitally eg 9.44 Not 16 to 10

I’m a Railroad man primarily when it comes to watches - 1880 through the 1950s

Ball in particular was a high end trainman’s model - accurate pocket watches being the only thing keeping trains from colliding back then - I figure that model was from the 40s - checked, mid 50s
