This is a fun project that offers quality for a good price. The mega brick tier averages just over 10€/deck. More variation amongst the tiers may have been better. An option for 2 sets or maybe just the gilded decks as Evilgamer mentioned. Overall, I like this project and hope that many others do as well. I wonder if there will be any decks added onto the campaign as it has eluded to.

It does mildly annoy me that the Till of Dusk Till Dawn always has two Ls everywhere it's used; I always want it to be 'til.

Yet another "if you want the gilded deck you have to buy something else first" campaign.

If there is anything I want to see ended its that tendency.

There are no gilded decks without the main project. The bundle has all four decks with a big discount - the prices are certainly fair. Alternatively 1 standard can have a gilded one added, so we're not asking much.

Backers coming in just to grab a gilded deck with the hope that it goes up in value one day is not really who this campaign is aimed at.

And your error is assuming that everyone who wants a gilded deck is a reseller. Im going to open the decks as soon as they come in and put them in a storage box never to be sold.

If I was reselling then adding $16 to buy a deck I don't have a use for so I could pickup a bunch of the decks I want to resell would be cost of business.

This is a happy day we're not looking for critiques on things like this to be honest. If it's not for you, I get it. Don't worry about it.

Gilded decks are KS-Exclusive and we're just doing them as an extra thing for those who support the campaign. We want to get these decks made - the gilding is a small part of it and it wasn't even mentioned during the pre-campaign so if that's all people want I'm not sure what to say, it's just an extra and the cost involved means it's available only as an add-on, or at a big discount with the bundle rewards.

It's not locked behind a stretch goal or an expensive tier. You can literally get it with the base €14 tier.

I support Anthony’s stance on not buying decks for resale in the future. It misses the point of this deck and basically every other deck. You are buying art, this isn’t a stock. The time, energy and creativity that went in from the designer and producer. That’s why I collect at least.

I don’t think anyone was advocating in favor of resellers.

I’ve certainly developed an aversion to them from things long before I got into collecting cards.

Personally I don’t have the patience or ruthlessness for it.

Getting more than a customer wants/needs is missing the point as well though. Some folks like gilding a lot and ergo just want a single gilded deck and no standard.
The folks that wanna resale Jocu decks are more likely to be found in the IC, so that they get the really exclusive stuff. I for my part have been offered IC stuff more than once without even asking, lol.
I do get the producers perspective, too. If it's bundled you can offer it for a better price. There will always be pros and cons about bundle/set selling vs. pick-what-you-want selling and there will never be a proper for everyone solution . I think Jocu found a good balance. Especially for US folks it should be easy to pool pledges imho.

That’s fair and you are right, I left out collectors who just want a gilded in their collection. It certainly would be nice to have. Jocu definitely is customer focused and always tries to find the best value for customers while ensuring it’s sustainable for them.

Rise & Shine. I'm not a huge fan of horror/zombie type media or items, but I do like the contrast of the bright colours on the dark paper.

I think it's my favourite too - if only that I don't think there's really been anything like it, it's pure Octofly. I love DTD too of course, but I get it's more niche.

Forgive me, it wasn't meant to be a generalisation of backers in general. More that when you put months into a project and the first comments you get are complaints about an item that wasn't even announced pre-campaign, it irks. At the end of the day if people love the project we've been showcasing for the past few months, they'll be there to support us. The fact that there are gilded decks even available is incidental - the campaign is about Silvia and her art. She didn't even know what gilding was before (as most regular folks don't) so I mean this is about everyone, not just card collectors.

Anyway, not much more to say on that one. We offer plenty of foiled and gilded decks for collectors in our other campaigns and through the IC. This is about Octofly and her work. Thanks for everyone for chipping in!

I hear you - in the end we settled on the film title as it's kind of 'set in stone' culturally Plus my mum used to work at a supermarket called Dawn Til' Dusk and I can't shake that.

I actually checked the film to see how it was spelt, and then searched only to discover that the majority of occurrences use "Till."

These turned out great! The embossing on the tuck is especially well done, it looks great with the chunky art style.
Every card has a cute unique illustration, and I enjoy the "alternate dimension" light/dark vibe from the two different versions.

But yes, they aren't available on general sale. The only people who can pre-order them at the moment are those completing the survey for the Green Man project but only backers of that project can do it, and it's likely that the decks will go on general sale around the same time that the project fulfils.

Glad to hear everyone's decks are arriving in the USA. It's not a fun time with the tariffs and so on, but I'm really happy with how these turned out and that they're arriving.

Manu, so that tuck actually has an interesting technique used to get that effect. It was tricky, but it's actually a kind of printed paint, hence the different texture.
