I know nothing about Hanafuda but I'm sure excited to get my first ever one through JBP's Patreon this year. They look so cute and tiny.

Probably. I was a weeb before it was cool, obsessing over Starblazers and Speed Racer when I was 10 (and yes, already knowing they were originally Japanese cartoons). Took Japanese language in college and spent a transfer year at Kansai Gaidai University. These days my weebness has mellowed, but I still consider myself a Nippon-o-phile.
