Ok UCer's I'm only saying one thing.

It was a list, a list based on our opinions. The list was also based on numbers and likes on Kardify........but at the end of the day, still just a list of what WE thought were the Top 12 of 2014.

That being said, I don't mind anyone disagreeing with the list, I really don't, we all have different tastes and opinions, I don't even care when some of you assume I'm a "Fanboy", but when we're accused of being "Swayed", well, that crosses the line, and I honestly don't think Ivan and I deserve that, because while we may have our own opinions, we have always been respectful to everyone we deal with and have never reduced ourselves to the level some have in this community. We've always tried to help every designer no matter what any forum or blog has thought of their work, we let the work and it's backers speak for itself.

Ivan, myself and Kardify have worked hard this past year to build relationships based on respect, honesty and trust and I think we've accomplished that............but it wasn't because of the cards on this list.

Per sinjin's comment above on how prolific 2014 has been:

On PlayingCardForum, they are taking votes for best decks of the year in various categories, just as UC will be doing shortly, and as I was casting my votes, I was really struck by just how much awesomeness has come out this year. Talk about an embarrassment of riches! I mean, I'm looking at the category for best faces, and having to choose between Origins and Requiem, and I'm thinking... um, both?

(Hotcakes and Pagan were also nominated for that category, as were a couple of others I don't recall at the moment. Much as I love, love, love Uusi's work, the choice in 2014 for me came down to Rick and Lorenzo, and holy cow, what a tough choice!)
