How do others feel about merging the past threads regarding the Table Players series?

As for the remaining two decks this year, those tuck boxes look pretty snazzy. I hope the backs also add a little variety, as well. By and large, I do like what they've done with this series. I'm a little bummed that there won't be a "standard" offering next year at a more player-friendly price. But, so it goes. <shrug>

Maybe do a single Players thread and start a new one each year?

I don't see any reason to start a new thread each year. It's all the same series of decks.
I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.

I think single thread works well for this. We can follow the design style of all the TP in 1 thread.

Just realized that Table Players can be renamed as Classic Cigarette packs reimagined. That's why it resonates so well with so many. Those packs were designed that well originally.

That's quite a new low. What are people supposed to pay for them next year?

It's $30 and $45 for Limited and Gilded tiers next year, respectively.

For some insight on this shift away from Standard tiers in both the TPs and Vintage Reimagined series, see this segment of a recent livestream (time code 21:30 https://youtu.be/RuUC149hkMQ?t=1290)

whole point of table players is to be an affordable deck people use to play. at a table. if people aren't buying them on site day to day, maybe figure out why that is. maybe the designs aren't as nice as they should be. maybe people don't need 6-12 new deck designs per year. I don't see how a gilded version is better for people who use the decks to play cards than a standard version that can be used heavily and be discarded. makes no sense to me. seems like they are going after the symptoms and not the cause of the issue

Very nice summary. I can see why the gilding though since it enhances the longevity of the cards and as an option that you don't have to pick up it, it's fine imo. But $30 is a joke for designs like that. Not that I ever felt he really made affordable player's decks in the first place, but at least they weren't twice as expensive as today's custom design standard decks, lol.

Dope, but I don't see the Table Players at that price point anymore; especially not not coming from USPCC.

Agreed, and I'm very curious to see whether next year's Table Players decks reflect the new prices - I hope so! But we'll see

Would be nice if we started seeing KWP Table players in a movie or TV series! Some of these are just so classy that they would fit in really well onscreen!

Monarchs have that market cornered.

Ah man. Sad. I was looking forward to trying for a Table Players subscription this year to accumulate the standard decks a bit more cost effectively. Sad that these things are going to become display pieces, rather than real playing cards.

Table Players don’t move is because the price is too high. If they offered a volume discount for pick-a-brick at $150 or something, I’d be all over it.

KWP probably doesn’t want to ship high volume at low-margin, but if they don’t offer a gateway to the brand, they are leaving money on the table. I like the art and the brand, but I don’t collect the the core KWP customer. Would I have started accumulating more display decks? We’ll never know.

Member when Jackson said, on an instagram live, years ago, artistically he can't grasp brands like fontaines? Whenever I see Table Players I can relate.

Just received my February "No. 13" decks. Are the February Table Players expected to ship soon? Normally, I'd have expected those to be combined, so I'm guessing these are running a bit behind schedule...?
