Jody, I have always liked your stuff. However, I am really liking Luminosity and this deck. These are just awesome.

Agreed, is there a reason why only 4 uploaded images are allowed per post? Is it a server limit?jodyeklund wrote:...and the number cards. I don't like this not being able to post so soon after my last post. I think we should be able to post right after, or allow for more image to be attached

Exquisite indeed they are. Very well executed. The improvements made, since the first posts, really elevate the whole deck.

Re: SOVEREIGN Exquisite Playing Cards (Jody Eklund)
wow indeed......the queen of spades and hearts look squashed in the frame compared to the other courts.. I was very happy backer with luminosity decks and booklet not so much the shiny coin
Its looking like I will be again
Squashed is a bit harsh maybe!!

Re: SOVEREIGN Exquisite Playing Cards (Jody Eklund)
I see your point caniveski, but for me I got the Queen from Alice and Wonderland reboot vibe, which really works with this set. So, the big heads in the top of the frame work for me.wow indeed......the queen of spades and hearts look squashed in the frame compared to the other courts.
I do love the extra details, especially for the number cards. I feel too often the number cards are treated so bland, but it is a waste as there is so much artistic real estate to work with on them.

I mostly like, but some of the courts feel a bit off to me, in particular the queens. Like the faces are too elongated or something. Maybe it’s just me.

I think they look wonderful. Foil on the face and back and the lighter tones really make it look stunning.

Thanks Jody. It is great that you are sharing mock ups with us here. I really like the courts but, insofar as the pips are concerned, I am not really sure about the pink and light blue background - do not think they add much.

Re: SOVEREIGN Exquisite Playing Cards (Jody Eklund)
I personally like the addition of pink and light blue as the original number cards were too plain compared to the courts and I think the addition ties the numbered cards together with the courts much better. To each their own, though.Magic Tapp wrote:Thanks Jody. It is great that you are sharing mock ups with us here. Thanks Sherman. It is true that the original was a bit plain but the rampant lion already adds to the background.shermjack wrote:I personally like the addition of pink and light blue as the original number cards were too plain compared to the courts and I think the addition ties the numbered cards together with the courts much better. Some of the courts look a bit inbred, which fits the theme IMO

Exactly what I thought, but figured I shouldn't write since a lot of Brits are in here and I don't know their stance on their royals...MagikFingerz wrote:Some of the courts look a bit inbred, which fits the theme IMO

Re: SOVEREIGN Exquisite Playing Cards (Jody Eklund)
Jack of Clubs - I just can't get over his face. It may be the position is so far off-center from the V-cut of his vest/doublet, but he just looks off to me. Also, his spear/polearm seems to have an edge that runs the length of the haft and he is grasping it with his hand.
Jack of Diamonds - he has no hands holding his sword. Everyone else has hands but him.
I love the shadow rampant lion in the center of all the number cards.

Here is the link to the project: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/91 ... n=4016628e" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Also, I wanted to let you all know I am looking to launch a 3rd deck hopefully when we pass the 200% Stretch Goal. It will be printed using the Cartamundi Cold Foil Technologies.

Maybe we are entering a golden age for playing cards! I am excited for this one. This is an amazing follow-up to Luminosity.

I'm assuming that white deck will be an add-on? I'm also assuming that it will be at least $30?

It is usually a limit set to keep post sizes manageable for the server.Decknowledgy wrote:Agreed, is there a reason why only 4 uploaded images are allowed per post? Since it is cold foil and not gilded, I am hoping the price is more reasonable. Perhaps even adding it into a mixed brick at the same cost.

Yes, it will be an add-on and also in new special tiers. The price should not be that high. I am checking on pricing right now.vasta41 wrote:I'm assuming that white deck will be an add-on? I'm also assuming that it will be at least $30?
